Printing and Exporting Outlines

You can now print or export outlines from the Course Outline Library for sharing or your personal use.

Important: Please know that the PDFs the system produces do not meet McMaster’s accessibility standards. The vendor is aware of our concerns and is working on improving their quality. In the meantime, if you require an accessible version of an outline, please use the website version as that is the most accessible version available.

To print or export an outline in the Course Outline Library:

1) Go to the Course Outline Library and search for the outline you need. When you find it, click on “View.” This should open the outline in a new tab.

2) In the top middle of the screen, you should see a little printer icon next to the word “Print.” It is in between the course code and the “Last Updated” date. Click on that.

A white rectangle at the top of an outline. In the centre of the rectangle is an icon of a printer next to the word "Print."

3) In the top right corner of the print screen, you should see an arrow pointing down. You can click on that to download it as a PDF. You can also click on the printer to print it.

A white rectangle with a grey rectangle above it. To the far right side of the grey rectangle is an arrow pointing down. Beside the arrow is icon of a printer.

If an outline has been set to “Private” by the instructor, you will have to reach out to the instructor for a copy. The only people who can see/print/download a “Private” outline are those currently enrolled in the course. If you are a student in that class, please make sure you are logged in before trying to print.
